Operation Christmas Child
Samaritan's Purse's Operation Christmas Child is one of our favorite missions to participate
in each Christmas season. The preparation for sending boxes to children around the world
starts months before we send the shoe boxes off. We collect toys, coloring books, small
games, clothing, and squeeze as much as we can into a small shoebox. This past Christmas we sent over 120 boxes to the Operation Christmas Child Headquarters to be sent around the world.

Summer Mission Trip
The annual summer mission trip has been an exciting part of our church's outreach for many years. Each year, the Connect4 Coordinator, Patty Forrest, selects a location for a group of about ten-fifteen individuals to serve. Very often the location will be an area that is in need of service due to natural disasters, such as Hurricane Katrina or Hurricane Sandy relief. One of our favorite organization, WARM, has brought us to Wilmington, NC on several occasions. The missions group usually consists of teens and young adults, however anyone can attend. The missions team has worked on everything from relaying a foundation of a house to replacing a ceiling. Any skill level is welcome, you just need a heart to serve.

Lindley Backpack Ministry
One of our ongoing outreach projects is our Lindley Backpack Ministry in which we
support local school children and their families. Each weekend we pack a backpack full
of nutritious meals for families in need. We cooperate with Starmount Presbyterian
Church and GCS Social Workers to provide these children with food security over the
weekends. Several of our members take time to pack these bags and the church
contributes donations of food and money regularly.
If you have an interest in donating or helping with this process please contact June Rash or Brad Vaughan for more information.

Souper Bowl Canned Food Drive & Tuna Sundays
Lindley Park Baptist Church is a proud supporter of Greensboro Urban Ministry. Greensboro Urban Ministry provides support for Greensboro residents in need of shelter, food, and support. In our partnership with Greensboro Ministry, we have committed to regularly supplying our church with canned tuna. On designated Sundays our church will collect tuna to continually supply GUM with this need.
Along with our regular tuna donation to Greensboro Urban Ministry, we have events such as Souper Bowl Sunday in which we have a challenge of collecting a certain amount of cans before the Super Bowl Sunday. Each year, we surpass our goals and reach new records for collected cans.
Beyond these two designated events, we are always collecting donations for Greensboro Urban Ministry and gather these cans in the hallway between the Sanctuary and the Chapel.
Cooler Ministry
Cooler Ministry began in 2015 when the coordinator of Cooler
Ministry, Patty Forrest, experience long, exhausting days in the
waiting rooms of the local hospital where her parents were
being treated for illness. It was during this time that Patty was
inspired to start the Cooler Ministry which is a bi-weekly mission
in which the Connect4 group visits local hospitals and offers
those in the waiting room a drink, a snack, and support in
company and prayer. Over time we have expanded to providing play packs and toys for children. In 2016, we expanded Cooler Ministry to downtown Greensboro where we offer a refreshment or snack on the hottest days of summer.
Cooler Ministry seeks support throughout the year with donations of drinks, snacks, and treat for the children. If you are interested in donating or joining Connect4, please contact Patty Forrest.

Apparent Project Support
Abigail Hart, our music director, regularly travels to Port au
Prince, Haiti to serve with a missions team to build and support
Haitian organizations and people. In 2015, Abigail visited Apparent
Project located in the capital of Haiti. This organization works to
provide the Haitian people with jobs, education, and child care
(which are invaluable resources). Apparent Project creates crafts
and jewelry that have been sold all over the world and are beautiful pieces of art.
In support of this fantastic mission, Lindley Park has worked to support Apparent Project by donating chip board to Haiti and providing their crafts for purchase after Sunday worship.

Agents for Christ - Missions
Agents for Christ is our Sunday Morning gathering of K-5th grade children in which our children learn important lessons from the Bible. Often times, Agents for Christ will experience these lessons through missions. Agents for Christ has served in missions such as singing for local nursing homes, bringing treats to our local firefighters, and serving at the local animal shelter.
Agents for Christ mission trips usually occur during church and usually required an RSVP one-two weeks in advance. For more information about the next Agents for Christ mission please contact Patty Forrest.
